RIVM: Hantavirus not transmissible from human to human

The Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has clarified that the hantavirus is transmitted from rodents to humans and is not transmissible between people. This statement follows reports of a confirmed case and several suspected infections on a cruise ship near Cape Verde. While various strains of the virus exist within the Netherlands, the risk remains limited to animal-to-human contact.
