Dutch News in English — Your Complete Guide

What is LocalHeadlines?

LocalHeadlines aggregates Dutch local newspapers and national outlets, translates their headlines and article summaries into English, and delivers hourly updates for expats, international students, and English-speaking residents in the Netherlands.

How it works

Stories are imported from RSS feeds of local and national Dutch publishers, deduplicated across sources, organised by region and topic, and translated into English. A daily Brief highlights the most important headlines from the past 24 hours.

Follow Dutch news by region

Choose a regional page for a focused feed, or read the Netherlands-wide stream:

  • Amsterdam — Amsterdam news in English — daily headlines from Dutch local newspapers covering housing, transport, city politics, neighbourhoods, culture and events, for expats, international students and English-speaking residents.
  • Haarlem — Haarlem news in English — local headlines from Haarlem and the wider Kennemerland region (Heemstede, Velsen, Beverwijk, Zandvoort, IJmuiden), translated daily for expats and English-speaking residents.
  • Netherlands — Netherlands news in English — Dutch national headlines covering politics, housing, immigration, the economy, transport and daily life, translated and updated throughout the day for the international community.

Free to read

LocalHeadlines is free and ad-free. Articles always link back to the original Dutch publisher as the source of record.
