Eggs of decapitated swan hatch in incubator: Injured male swan raises own cygnets and rejected 'adopted' cygnet

Eggs from a swan that was killed in Velserbroek have successfully hatched in an incubator at the Vogelhospitaal in Haarlem. The injured male swan has since taken on a parental role for both his own biological chicks and an additional adopted chick. This development follows a tragic incident where the mother swan was found decapitated while nesting.
