Labor Inspectorate closes two souvenir shops for repeated violations

The Dutch Labor Inspection has closed two souvenir shops in Amsterdam's city center for one month after the owner repeatedly failed to track employee working hours. Despite previous fines totaling 21,000 euros, a third inspection revealed ongoing violations of the Working Hours Act, resulting in an additional 15,000 euro fine. This enforcement action ensures that employee rest periods and maximum working hours can be properly monitored.
