Henk Mathijssen, a 66-year-old from Beverwijk, was recently appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau for his achievements and journey living with bipolar disorder. Originally from a working-class background, Mathijssen views the royal honor as the ultimate recognition he had aspired to throughout his life.
