Detour to Schiphol this weekend: A10 West closed due to Zuidas roadworks

The A10 West motorway in Amsterdam will be closed to traffic this weekend to facilitate the Zuidasdok project, a major infrastructure initiative focused on expanding the A10 South from four to six lanes. The ongoing construction project is expected to continue for at least another decade as part of efforts to improve regional traffic flow. This specific closure is required to install a new gantry for information signage near the De Nieuwe Meer interchange. During the weekend closure, drivers are being redirected through routes on the A10 South, A2, and A9 motorways. Local authorities recommend that motorists consult a route planner before traveling to account for the necessary detours. The road is scheduled to reopen to normal traffic on Monday morning at 05:00. This project remains the largest traffic infrastructure undertaking in the city.
