Author Francine Oomen is currently writing the third and final installment of her adult-oriented book series based on the popular Hoe overleef ik franchise. This series continues the journeys of the original teenage characters as they navigate life in their twenties and thirties. Having previously achieved immense success with the original fourteen books, which focused on the challenges of puberty, love, and stress, Oomen is now exploring adult themes such as mental health and professional development. The first book in this adult series was released in 2023 and sold over 150,000 copies, followed by a second volume in 2025. For this concluding chapter, the author is once again engaging her readership for creative input. She has launched an online form that allows fans to suggest the internal struggles and challenges that the main character, Rosa, should address while seeking professional mental health support. Oomen will use these reader submissions as direct inspiration for the narrative of this final book.
