U2 to hold an additional concert at the Johan Cruijff Arena next year

U2 has added a third concert date at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam due to high ticket demand for their upcoming tour. The performances will support the band's new album, Carnaval De Luz, which is their first new collection of music in nine years.

Due to high demand during the initial pre-sale, the rock band U2 has added a third performance to their upcoming concert schedule at the Johan Cruijff Arena. This show joins the previously announced dates on June 5 and 6, as part of the group's The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour, which marks their first series of stadium appearances since 2019. Tickets for these shows are scheduled to go on sale to the general public this Friday.

The tour supports the band's sixteenth studio album, titled Carnaval De Luz, which is set for release on November 13 and represents their first new material in nine years. The lead single shares the tour's name and features an accompanying music video directed by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn. The European leg of the tour kicks off on April 27 in Stockholm, with the band Wolf Alice joining the lineup as a special guest throughout these performances.
