Name of new gymnastics hall announced: Turnhuis Haarlem

The new gymnastics hall in Haarlem-Noord has been officially named "Turnhuis Haarlem" following a public vote where the name received nearly 40 percent of the ballots. The facility is scheduled for completion in late May and will serve as the permanent home for the HLC gymnastics club and students of the Mendelcollege starting after the summer holidays. The project was eventually taken over by the municipality to ensure its realization after facing rising construction costs and initial local opposition.
